Starting October 15,
when the hunting season opens, we will have three central hot lines for
hunters - one in mid-Hudson Valley 845-227-5099, one for the Western
New York Chapter
(716) 648-4355 and one for Deer Search of the Finger Lakes (585-493-3225).
If you contact us for tracking services, remember:
-
Landowner's
permission is always required.
-
You must be able to
take the dog handler to the exact location where you lost the
blood trail. These locations should be marked at eye level so
that you can return to them after dark.
-
Do not walk directly
down the blood trail as you track.
-
There is no charge
for the services of Deer Search. Members are volunteers who try
to help you, however, donations are accepted and go directly to
the non-profit organization.
-
Tracking services
are available day or night, seven days a week.
